Definitions of Terms

      Ecliptic: the apparent circular path relative to the fixed stars followed by the sun in one year, as seen from the earth.

      Esoteric: understood only by those who have received the necessary instruction or training.

      Exoteric: suitable for, or easily understood by, those who are not within an inner circle of initiates.

      Vernal Equinox: the point on the ecliptic crossing (from south to north) the celestial equator that occurs about March 21.
