Natal Horoscope Chart Pack
Block 4: A TAARP Natal Horoscope Chart Pack
This block presents an example of the natal horoscope chart pack that TAARP generates for each native we do a natal horoscope analysis for. The example is for Nancy, a good friend of mine. Prior to presenting the tables and figures for Nancy's chart pack, explanations for the tables and figures are given. A cursory analysis of Nancy's natal horoscope is given in Block 5. Note that TAARP uses the IO Edition® software produced by Time Cycles, Inc. to calculate the natal horoscope itself.
- Figure 1 Nancy's IO® Natal Chart
- This is the main page that is printed out by the Time Cycles, Inc. IO Edition™ software. IO Edition™ has many other pages of output, but we are not satisfied with any of them so we use the data output from IO Edition™. We use the IO Edition™ software to calculate the natal horoscope, but aside from Figure 1, all of the other figures and tables in TAARP's chart pack are generated by using Glenn Johnson's software. His software uses the data produced by the IO Edition™ software. Also, Figure 5 and Figure 6 represent original research by TAARP, and hence involve more than just a reformatting of IO Edition™ output.
- Figure 2 Nancy's TAARP Euro-Wheel
- This is the basic figure of the natal horoscope. It contains all of the information in the natal horoscope that TAARP is currently using in its research. (Note that there are several items common to natal astrology that TAARP is currently not using and that are not indicated in the Euro-Wheel. Examples of this are the Moon's nodes, Arabic parts, and retrograde motion.) The tables and figures in the remainder of the chart pack are designed to help us focus on the many different features in the Euro-Wheel.
- The table below the figure present all of the planetary aspects manifesting in the natal horoscope for the 6 primary aspects of conjunction, semi-sextile, sextile, square, trine, and opposition. We very seldom consider an aspect for which the orb is greater than 10°. The purpose of the horizontal lines in the table is to separate aspects for which the orb is equal to or less than 10° from those for which the orb is greater than 10°.
- Figure 3 Nancy's TAARP Aspect Map
- This a color coded presentation of the planetary aspects with the following orb limits applied:
- Conjunction, square, trine, opposition: 10°
- Sextile: 6°
- Semi-sextile: 3°
For the aspects appearing in the table below the Euro-Wheel in Figure 2, only those whose orbs are equal to or smaller than these limits are given a line on the Aspect Map. Furthermore, a more refined indication of the size of the orb is provided by using a wide line for very small orbs and a thin line for wider orbs, but in both cases for a given aspect type the orb has to be equal to or smaller than the orb limit for that type for a line to be drawn on the Aspect Map. We do not color code conjunctions on the Aspect Map.
- Figure 4 Nancy's TAARP Planetary Wiring
- This is a graphic picture presenting the aspects. As with the Aspect Map the only aspects that appear here are those that meet the orb limit criteria given above in the description of the Aspect Map. Data above the solid, black line are for the 7 personal planets, (i.e., Sun, Moon, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Venus, Mercury), and the data below the line are for the archetypal planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto).
- Figure 5 Nancy's TAARP Cumulative Aspect/Orb Weight
- This figure presents a specific weight for each planet that is based upon the aspects to the planet and the orbs for each of those aspects. A description of the weight method is given in Section C2.0: Third Quantitative Analysis Attempt of Block 3: The Technical Report (Itself). A cursory description of the method follows. The more important aspects of conjunction, square, trine, and opposition have a high weight. The intermediately important aspect of sextile gets a medium size weight. The least important of the 6 major aspects, the semi-sextile, gets a small weight. These aspect type weights are combined with orb weights, for which the smaller the orb the larger the weight, to give an overall or cumulative aspect/orb weight. We originally had two different methods of calculating the cumulative aspect/orb weight, which is why there is reference to Weight Method I and Weight Method II in the top left hand corner of Figure 5, but we now only use Weight Method I, which is indicated by the black dot in the circle next to "Weight Method I". "Plus/Minus" in the top left hand corner only applies to Figure 6.
- Weight Method I is involved with multiplying the aspect weight by the orb weight for each aspect and then summing up all the products. This is done for each planet. So, in a natal horoscope for which the Sun is square Mars, sextile Venus, and trine Mercury there will be three products summed together to give the aspect/orb cumulative weight for the sun.
- Figure 6 Nancy's TAARP Plus/Minus Cumulative Aspect/Orb Weight
- This is computed in the same manner as the cumulative aspect/orb weight of Figure 5 except for the summing of the products, for which in the Plus/Minus case we assign positive values for the "friendly" aspects (i.e., conjunctions, semi-sextiles, sextiles, and trines) and negative values for the "unfriendly" aspects (i.e., squares and oppositions).
- Figure 7 Nancy's TAARP Personal Natal Chaldean Wheel
- This figure focuses on the positions of the planets relative to the four angles (i.e., ascendant, zenith, descendant, and nadir) and the four angular houses (i.e., first, fourth, seventh, and tenth).
- Figure 8 Nancy's TAARP Archetypal Natal Chaldean Wheel
- This figure focuses on the positions of the planets relative to the beginnings of the four seasons.
- S = Spring
- S' = Summer
- F = Fall
- W = Winter
- Table 1 Nancy's TAARP Modalities and Elements
- These two tables specify the planetary positions vis-à-vis the 3 modalities and the four elements
= Fire
= Earth
= Air
= Water
- C = Cardinal
- F = Fixed
- M = Mutable
- The numbers in the table are sums of the cumulative aspect/orb weights for the set of planets in each group.
- Table 2 Nancy's TAARP House Analysis
- This table shows the positions of the signs and planets relative to the 12 diurnal houses, and gives some of the meanings of the houses.
- Table 3 Nancy's TAARP Summary Table
- This table summarizes a lot of information about the planets. It serves as a final visual presentation of data that helps us try to establish an overall priority of planetary importance in the natal horoscope. The determination of the final priorities is done combining all of the analytical, quantitative data in the chart pack with qualitative, meaning oriented information, such as the meanings of planets in signs and houses. We have developed a more detailed and comprehensive Summary Table than the one appearing here, but it is not yet part of our software package.
- Note that as detailed in Block 3: The Technical Report (Itself), TAARP has specific plans for much more refined analytical, quantitative analysis than what is indicated in TAARP's current chart pack. Also, our long term plans are to use sophisticated forms of artificial intelligence computer processing that includes self-organizing, adaptive learning algorithms operating upon psychological profiles and qualitative, meaning oriented data to aid us in our effort to establish what, if any, truth there is in natal astrology.
